This was my first newborn session back since lockdown! That's 5 months! And I've missed it soo much you wouldn't believe. I used these 5 months wisely and invested in new props, online training and research, time and money well spent! It's defiantly been a strange few months, what with trying to entertain my little monkeys, completely out of our usual routine and having daddy home has been a blessing. We have appreciated many things in this strange period in our lives, Im not saying it has been easy but I'm so very grateful for the Family life we do have. This mummy was booked in for her maternity session with me, but lockdown and anxiety had other plans for us. I'm so thankful we were able to do her Newborn session with her gorgeous twins. Charlotte gets the pleasure of her beautiful babies after a very worrying and emotional pregnancy, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. What little miracles!
Myself and Charlotte had many phone call conversations about all the finer details, with emails and documents. My new Covid guidelines and hygiene rules, preparation before the session, price lists and props sheet. I always want mums to feel involved and have the full understanding of what to expect before the session to make it relaxing and full of ease. I completely understand how emotional it can be for new mums during pregnancy and after giving birth.
I loved the colour theme chosen for this session and I was so excited to use my new props and equipment.

This beautiful mummy and her precious little babies! What a truly stunning image with her little girl smiling again. This will definitely be one for the wall in the nursery. All those uncomfortable days and nights being pregnant and the hardest most painful birth experience that was all worth it.

These are such precious moments. Those teeny little features change so quickly, they lose that gorgeous birth hair and that newborn smell, changing and growing in front of your eyes. Before you know it they are making noises and touching your face, smiling when they see you and waving good-bye. I absolutely love my job, not only because I get to hold these precious little beings but because I can capture these moments and details so they can be cherished by every parents hearts. Twins, a best friend from the very start.
