Welcome to the studio!

Hi, i'm back, YES!!

It's been a while since I've made a blog. This social media side of the business is a lot to keep up with. Let's start with updating you on my lovely little studio.

Iv'e now been in my studio for 8 months, which has absolutely flown by. This month is actually Ally Barber photography's 5 year anniversary. From the moment I did my very first newborn session, I knew i'd found my dream job. Although it's come with many challenges, I would be lying if I said it's been easy. I've come to realise that running a photography business is HARD, but I love it and would be completely be lost without it.

Your help and support has been incredible over the last 5 years. I want to thank each and every one of you for helping me grow. Please continue to spread the word about me to your friends and family, without you, I wouldn't be able to continue photographing & sharing your special connection with your babies & children. Again, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for your support.

The Studio: My family & I moved to Horsham this time last year and my amazing husband made my dream come true and built me a little studio in the garden. He is not only completely supportive with my crazy ideas and demands, but also an excellent handy man! After being in my studio for 8 months now, I'm finally settling in and finding what works best for me. Experimenting with ideas and new sets is what I love doing, & having my studio, that's something I couldn't easily achieve as a mobile photographer. My studio is cosy and I love the close feel I have with my clients relaxing & watching me achieve my work. I now have this space to call my own, where I don't need to pack everything away each day. I love that I can now offer you all a hot or cold drink instead of the other way round!.

During the winter, we had some really cold days. I'm so glad we didn't hold back on good insulation to keep the heat in. Now in the summer months, I've noticed its a tad warm and will likely be getting the cold fan out to keep you all comfortable!.

Here is a link to my instagram and facebook where you can see my studio, this was filmed a while back and things never stay in the same place. While you are viewing the link below please hit the like/ follow & share buttons, so you're following my recent work and new upcoming offers or sessions.

If you've recently been to my studio and taken some behind the scenes images please do send them over to me as I do love to share them.

Here is a little video of me behind the scenes in a newborn session. Sometimes, baby needs a little gentle pat to get them settled, newborns really do love a bottom pat. Just a little tip to remember when your little one is stirring.

Until next time....

I promise I won't leave it so long.

Ally - The lady behind the camera.

xx
